Finding accommodation

It can be a challenge to find a place to live in Amsterdam. It may take a while before you find something where you will be happy to stay.

Le Coin - temporary accommodation for visiting staff

The UvA rents out luxurious hotel apartments in Hotel Résidence Le Coin for short and long stays. These are situated in the centre of Amsterdam.

Rent allowance

If you live in a rented accommodation and your income is below a certain level, you may qualify for a rent allowance.

Utilities

After finding a house, you’ll have to get your utilities for your household sorted. Things like energy, water, cable for television and radio, a telephone line or internet often are not arranged by your landlord.

Moving house

There are some administrative matters that need to be arranged when you move house in the Netherlands.
