Academic awards
The UvA has a long-standing tradition of excellent research. Its fundamental research in particular has garnered national and international attention, with Nobel Prizes having been won in past decades by Van ‘t Hoff, Zeeman and Van der Waals, and Spinoza Prizes today regularly being awarded to UvA researchers.
